What good looks like, by sector and by stage.

Benchmarks drawn from journeys mapped across the Experience Engine — aggregated, non-identifying, and refreshed continuously rather than commissioned once a year.

A journey index of 68 is not information until you know what comparable organisations achieve at the same stage. These benchmarks exist so the question can be answered without commissioning a study, and so the answer is current.

  1. 01

    How they are built

From journey structure and outcome patterns across organisations using René, aggregated so that no customer content and no named organisation is ever exposed. Contribution is configurable and never includes customer records.

  2. 02

    What they cover

Completion and abandonment per stage, effort and emotion scores, contact rate per journey, resolution time and the composed journey index — by sector, and where the sample supports it, by market.

  3. 03

    How to read them

Sample size is shown with every benchmark. A thin sample is labelled as thin rather than presented with false confidence, because a misleading reference point is worse than none.

  4. 04

    What they are not

Not a target. Sector median is a reference point, and for several journeys the right ambition is well above it. The benchmark tells you where you stand, not what to aim for.

Rows marked thin have a sample too small to read as representative. Figures are based on heuristics — modelled from the René method and observed sector patterns, not reported client results.

Principles

Sample size is always visible.

Aggregated and non-identifying, without exception.

Continuous, not annual.

A reference point, not a target.
